1. Abstract

E 'are rare in architectural treatises of the past a direct reflection on space. The theory was rather aimed to define the physical architecture, the purpose of their shape and define the space they delimit. The theories of space developed in the West until the beginning of the nineteenth century with Schelling's Philosophie der Kunst in establishing itself in late-century historians like Riegl, Woefflin, Schmarsow. The architecture is "art" of space when the project clearly exceeds the project object. The will is the soul of the living space of the architectural creation (Schmarsow - Barock und Rococo). The elements that define the space within which we are not a "image", but have a force field more or less unequally divided. Rudolf Arnheim analyzing the sculptures of Henry Moore will understand that the empty space inside of the windows has a different quality, in contrast to studies of this void that I take it just the volume. Cerco di vedere i corpi che ho immaginato come precisi oggetti inscritti nello spazio e mi preme sentire il modo in cui dallo spazio che li circonda ritagliano uno spazio interno oppure il modo in cui accolgono, alla stregua di un recipiente aperte, l'infinita continità spaziale.

Gli edifici che ci impressionano ci trasmettono sempre una sensazione intensa per quello che è il loro spazio. Essi delimitano quell'enigmatico vuoto che chiamiamo spazio in un modo singolare, pervenendo a farlo vibrare."

3. Syntax 2d and Visibility Graph Analysis

How to represent the spatial diagrams appointed by Zumthor? Rudolf Arnheim proposes to consider the concept of objects producing force fields. The space would then be described by vectors, or "magnetic fields" adapted by distance, expansions or contractions. Paolo Portoghesi e V. Gigliotti esibiscono questi "campi" nella matrice compositiva di casa Papanice.

Un alternativa più attendibile è basarsi sull' Isovist , definibile come una funzione del volume di spazio visibile da un determinato punto. La sua variazione può essere espressa da un grafico.
